I hate Valentine's Day and hope everyone who is currently sexually active gets castrated. Sorry, just had to get that out of my system.

Valentine's means only one thing to me: candy.

bleh, Valentines Day is actually pretty annoying when you're single, because the whole thing is about couples. I just ignore the day usually. Actually, drawing this pic (my avatar) and wishing a few people a good valentines day is more valentine-y than usual for me I guess.

I love those little multi colored hearts in the little box.

The only reason I enjoy Valentine's Day is because my mom gives me candy and a little note saying "I love you!"

This reminds me of when I was working on a supermarket checkout.

I was in a pretty bad way because I was very much in the spectrum and didn't know it, so instead of rationalizing my disorder I nursed a strong hatred of humanity.

On ones Valentines I told a customer how much I hated the festival and "happiness in general" and she said keep on going like that and you'll be explaining it for years on the psychiatrist's couch. She gave a good answer I think.

Looking back I was right to be angry, because I didn't need someone to tell me not some trite nonsense "everybody hurts". I needed someone to tell me I was abnormal and that life was more difficult for me than other people.

I feel pretty much not a real part of every holiday celebration.

I've pretty much actively hated Valentine's day ever since my mom got divorced a second time from the man she'd been married to for ten years, and raised my step-sisters/best friends alongside, five days after Valentine's when I was sixteen. I find it to be a nauseating and trite holiday, which even copious amounts of heart-shaped chocolate can't make up for.

My dad always gave me a chocolate rose on Valentine's Day. I loved it, because it was OUR tradition (my sister got plain chocolate), because the gift was connected to my name (my middle name is Rose), and sometimes to my age (I got a dozen when I was 12 years old)... and because it is chocolate (Yum).
