Interesting conversation I actually hate being nude due to sensory stimulation such as a breeze blowing for this reason I prefer to wear clothes all the time even in bed and at the beach when swimming I prefer fully clothed.

well i have huge urges to be naked because some clothes i cannot stand.

Actually, I have the same problems like Sharkgirl.

sure, i wouldn't be naked outside in freezing weather, or if i didn't put sunscreen on in hot hot weather. and of course if the law doesn't allow it. but that doesn't mean you don't love the feeling of being free from clothes that are tight.

But I really don´t like the feeling of being naked. It makes me feel vulnerable, like a knight without his armour.

what if your armor is causing you problems and you need a place to go take it off?

My ladyfriend thinks I am a bit of an exhbitionist, becaue I like to wear as little as possible. Now in Nazca in Peru i live in a dessert climate, summer and it is HOT. If I didn't have to endure or face public outrage and bigotry I would walk naked through the streets. The ancient culture here lived naked too until the Incas conqured them.
I wear short shorts, cut off just below the genitals...I want as much sun and heat on my legs as possible. I wear a thong and they found out at the hostel when my stuff hung on the washing line..they are shocked that a man wears thongs! They say it is a taboo here, only homosexuals wear that..Am I one? Yes, but I am not going to tell them, because they are so homophobic and would kill you if you were a Peruvian...
This is a town and a conservative one, and avery macho society. I think it comes from a trauma at school where I was caught at age 13 reading porn...since as an individual I fight all kind of sexual oppression in private, public life and as an artist it has been my favourite subject, as for an aspie, it has been a life long obsession...nudity, sex, intolerant religions.

I break taboos with my clothes so I can debate them with anyone who questiosn my dress code...

There are four categories in this life: 1) That which is big fun you can have with your clothes on; 2) That which is not; 3) That which is big fun you can have with your clothes off; 4) That which is not.

All the rest is mere commentary.

true. that's what i believe too, but i'm taught that it's bad and i can't even be naked in my own house except in my room or in the bathroom, and that was it. and you know how sensitive aspie kids can be to some clothes to where it gets to they should be allowed to be naked in their own homes whenever, as long as they make sure no one outside sees them. i love sleeping naked.

I like air drying after a shower and sometimes lounging outside naked if conditions are right. But mostly, I have a bunch of comfortable clothes I can wear and for the most part, do.

That was your first mistake: assuming that all Aspies are alike. We are not.

At one extreme are Aspies who can't tolerate being naked.

At the other extreme are Aspies who can't tolerate wearing clothes.

Somewhere in between these two extremes are the rest of us.

I wear clothes mainly for practical reasons - warmth, comfort, protection, et cetera.

Nudity has also its practical reasons - sex, bathing, medical exams, et cetera.

Otherwise, nudity is a non-issue with me.

I admit I was confused by the initial thread question but after reading further I see the root of the query. Even so, my answer would be that I don't think anything about nudity aside from it being a state of not wearing clothes. I guess the subtext here is whether being naked around other people is a source of discomfort or embarrassment? It never has been for me. It makes no difference, or only makes a difference when other people act strangely to me in the context.

Anyway. I'm posting now because I did have a strong aversion to clothing when I was a child that is relevant to thread. Clothing binds and chafes and itches. Particularly so when you're a child and have minimal say over the clothing that is provided to you to wear. So normal procedure for me was to remove all clothing whenever I was at home. Parents must have been bothered with this because at some point there was a rule that I had to at least wear my underwear and must always wear clothing when guests came to visit. I didn't really mind that rule but was confused about the origin of it, confused why it was a problem that bothered my parents.

I live alone now and wear clothes at home mostly out of habit now. Have done for so long switching back to the childhood way would probably be uncomfortable for me purely because it would disrupt my routine.

When its real hot and wearing cloth only makes it hotter, sure i like it, because the clothing suits the temperature. If its cold and wearing cloths make it cosier for me, sure i like cloths in that situation, because the cloths are suiting the temperature. If i cool and hot oil is sparkling around and would be hurting me, then i like cloths, because without cloths i would get hurt.

So i dont think that much about it. When i wake up at weekend, and its cold, i choose cloths that fits to the temperature and when its hot i also choose cloths that fitts to the temperature. When its around 30° Celsius that means no cloths.

So all people in my surrounding neighborhood are able to turn their heads, so i made sure, that no one outside my house and garden sees me, if they dont want to. ^^

There is nothing indecent or offensive about the naked human form.

Not an issue.

But keep it in the home or at a designated beach and not in Wal-Mart.

there isn't any need to feel prudish about nudity.

I don't see prudish answers, just honest and practical ones. This isn't a naturalist forum.

i'm not a naturist either, but there are people on here who seemed to be scared of being naked.
