Hi! :-)

Saw this in the news today; http://www.studiobananathings.com/buy-ostrich-pillow/
My first thought was "what the h*ll is THAT?" - second was "noooo waaaaay, are they serious?".

After a minute or two where I didn't know if I should laugh or not, I came to think if it would have worked as a safe place for me when I went to school (back in the 90's ;-))?

Seriously.. Some kids have a kind of a tent they enter when they need to be alone.
I was kicked out in the wardrobe with the lights turned off.
Worked for me.

Now I usually cover my ears and shut my eyes (which can be done rather discrete so it just looks like I'm concentrating).

It was just a thought... And I think it's looks rather stupid to say at least - but if it works, stupid can be pretty too :-)

I couldn't figure out how it was intended to be used from the product page. Did a youtube search, found promotional video:

My first thought is that the marketed usage case, napping in public, doesn't work with the appearance of the thing. I don't see how anyone with one of these on their head wouldn't attract a lot of attention and not get any sleep.

Now for home use... i guess. Wouldn't it be uncomfortably hot? I don't see how this is better than a regular sleep mask and a regular pillow.

weird thing. :?

I also think it would get hot. Also I wonder if some schools will try to stop you from wearing them.

So it's basically a pillow that you wear over your head, with a little mouth hole to breathe? I actually wouldn't mind trying one lol, I like in an apartment complex and literally right outside my window are a bunch of street lamps, so it stays really bright in my room at night, even with the blinds/curtains completely closed. Something like this would help block out all the light so I could get some decent sleep!

This looks amazing, I swear that I saw it at least a year ago though. but it is only now in the news.

Currently when I get overwhelmed I put my hood up, if I have one, but wish my whole face was covered, this would be perfect.
