I frequently rock back and forth or side to side. I find it calming, and the intensity depends on how stressed or upset I am. What is your most frequent stim?

My most frequent is between rocking and leg bouncing.

It depends on where I am and what I am doing. If out of public, I often pick my skin or play with my hair. If in public and standing I tend to pace and fidget with things in my pockets. If nothing is in the pockets, my fingers will often be doing a finger dance inside the pockets. If sitting, I tend to shake my leg or fidget in some way.

I do those a lot. >.>

I also have little finger flicks, grunting/throat clearing, twiddling my toes aggressively, squeezing my nose for ages randomly. I'm not sure if it counts as stimming directly but in the company of someone I like I tend to start spurting random words/questions/noises (it's as if I have a random generating machine in my head with few criteria for spitting out), or singing/humming tunes, most commonly Super Mario Brothers.

They change depending on the emotions I'm feeling though. For example, when anxious (such as when someone is coming towards me) I'll start examining a callous in my left hand and rotating it constantly until the person goes away, or perhaps I'll press my fingers together and make pyramid like shapes and pretend to be examining them. When I'm sad I don't really stim much because I feel like I have no energy or am too deeply involved in my thoughts, or staring at something. When I'm socializing with someone on Skype and I'm happy I tend to bounce on my chair and make facial expressions etc, mostly complex body things.

Most common (and obvious) at home is I walk in a clock wise circle. I also rock and if alone may flap my hands just a little. In public I tend to stroke my hair if it is down or I rub my lips. During trivia I sometimes bite my hands or fingers. Not hard, I've never bruised myself or drawn blood but I like the feel of my teeth on my skin.

In public I rub my hair a lot, or cross my arms and squeeze a bit, or rub my thighs when sitting down.

In private... mine are very complex whole body movements. I can't even really describe them in words very easily.

I have quite a few. I often jerk my jaw from side-to-side, sometimes twitch, bounce my leg, and I often repeat words and mutter to myself. Not at the same time though. ;)

Pacing, picking at/biting my fingernails and cuticles, pulling at my eyelashes and eyebrows, stroking Dory.

Spinning things, chewing on wires, tapping my foot, cocking my head.

Chewing wires is the worst one and when nobody's around I actually use a binky as a replacement. Cheaper than gum and lasts longer >.>
