You would propably need a very long and intensive testing to find out for sure and most shrinks don't want that, if it's getting too intensive.
But Tourette's should be pretty easy to dx correctly in most cases.

I see.
Well, I don't need another evalutation. It's ok how it is now.
According to my shrink, I can't really have Tourette's ot tic disorder because I only occasionally have tics. I don't always have them. I usually have tics during a meltdown, or after it.

So HFA = form of ASD, so this leaves Bipolar and ADHD, so this makes 2 comorbidities in addition to ASD. :)

Normal reactions like depression after someone dies? That is a filler diagnosis to get you on drugs.

I was thinking for this for a while and figured out you can't generalize it.
E. g. I didn't come over the death of my father between 2003 and 2010. Seven long years I also had depressions because of this and of course I also tryed medication (didn't help, side effects), psychotherapy and all that.
But for the most years I didn't do anything about it, because I had the same attitude as you, but it didn't go away by itself, it just didn't.
Sometimes it's better to react early. Not necesseraly with meds, but at least with therapy.
My opinion.
The mistake I made at this time was clearly that I waited way too long.

So, if you generalize it like that, it wouldn't work.

They threw the book at me while diagnosing...

I'm not proud at all being disabled.
And also there are still many reasons why I'm proud of myself being in that situation.
I'm proud of myself that I learned to read and write so well, despite the fact that I was dx with dyslexia as a child.
I'm proud of myself that I manged "high school" (we have a bit another school system).
I'm proud of my family, especially my mom, now being able to accept me, even with me being transgender what wasn't easy for her.

And yes I think it's damn healthy not allways going in the next corner and cry just because you have a disabillity, but also being able to say: "I still managed this and that". Well maybe not everything, but life isn't allways easy that way and with low self confidence it's just getting more and more difficult.

 Sometimes it's also good to have a bit pride.
Personal opinion.

I was recently diagnosed with depression and SAD. The SAD will eventually go away a little bit in the summer but i'm trying to "recover" from both and i'm going to see a doctor about it soon :)

Borderline personality disorder and asperger's (or whatever you want to call it since they got rid of it in the handbook).

I can't understand the whole pride/shame thing.
Now, regardless the fact that a disorder, whatever it is, is supposed to affect your life in a negative way, I don't understand why I should be proud or ashamed of something I haven't chosen, and I haven't caused.

Can I ask?
Why "possibly"?
I'm a bit curious, having gender issues myself. :)
