apparently the research is helping in studies including autism (just seen the programme on TV)

UPDATED TO ADD MY OWN SCORE: 7 (which equates to significantly male, about 2/3 of the way down the line towards very male. (I'm female)

The oddity is, that my finger ratios do not match, my index fingers are both longer than my ring fingers! The option they state under female finger ratios is that "occasionally the index finger is longer than the ring finger" so my finger ratios are apparently somewhere in the female ratio but my brain is male.

14 and longer index finger, though I pursued a typically masculine field.

This is rather interesting. I scored a "5"--clearly in the masculine range--and have long ring fingers...despite being an animal-and-child loving female.
A high level of testosterone--what long ring fingers and masculine traits are supposed to indicate--has been linked to autism by various studies. Link

there is a hypothesis by some scientists that there could be a link between autism and GID (gender identity dysphoria) or transexualism.

Given the amount of autistic women who pursue roles and images that are conventionally male, this lends weight to this theory.

Being an adult male who is quite sensitive and relatively poor at stereotypical tasks like DIY, I believe my brain errs towards the female.

Clever... that pest produced a 10/20 an I have an index finger longer on one hand and the same length, a mixed brain. I do identify as Agender - but male bodied... but that test felt like autistic diagnostic questions a bit :?

I'm a male. I scored 8 (pale blue - second from the center) and have both ring fingers slightly longer than the respective index finger.

So I guess I am "mildly male".

That pretty much accords with my perception of myself as someone who doesn't think that male/female differences are very important outside of sexual relationships. I don't identify strongly with males as a separate group - to me, everyone is just "people", except that only half the population has body shapes/parts that I find attractive.

I scored a 9 (skewing toward "blue" aka masculine) and my ring fingers are slightly longer than my index fingers.
I'm more logical than emotional, but I think it's unfair to characterize that as more masculine than feminine. I totally wore mascara today

7... but was unsure for a few items. Ring finger is just slightly longer on one hand, equal on the other.

I scored a 5 and my index and ring fingers are basically the same length on both hands. For me my fingers mean very little. I am not overly masculine in most tests I take, and I am not overly feminine. I usually score undifferentiated or androgynous with marks closer to masculine.

I scored 7 - towards the male end. On the hands part I've a bit of a Victor Victoria thing going on, my left hand is male where as my right hand is female.

I'd like to add some thoughts....

A. Embarrassing Bodies is a horrendously ignorant program.

B. Isn't this borrowing from/backing up the idea of autism being about the 'male brain', which is a theory we're trying to move away from due to the problems it causes AS/ASD women.

C. I'd argue links with rejection of gender assignment in the autism community is about; 1. lack of social conformity on both gender identity and rejecting the idea of trans being bad, and 2. we are more prone to BDD-type problems, which isn't about gender but about general identity and body awareness. Pointless talking gender issues in a group who don't adhere to social norms, you can't approach social issues like gender in AS/ASD communities from an NT perspective.

I'm a female who tested slightly male -- 8 with slightly longer ring fingers. I'm not surprised. I do lots of things in a more masculine way than feminine.

I got a 5...definitely female. Both my ring fingers are longer than my index.

I'm male.

Scored a 6.

Both ring fingers longer than my index.

And while I am a masculine guy, I'm a homo.. which is only relevant because I've read that the (I supposed suspected or theorized?) cause of homosexuality is due to low testosterone levels present at specific stages of development in the womb. Longer index fingers are supposed to be indicative of higher testosterone levels. Hmmm... perhaps both can be correct, ie there was low testosterone at certain stages of fetal development resulting in my sexual orientation, while I myself produce higher levels of testosterone.

Interesting stuff.

i scored a 4 - very "male" brain, but my fingers were very slightly "female" (one hand had equal fingers). i wasn't socialised to be female, and i think it makes a world of difference.
