I may be taking your question too literally, but anyway -
Yes, more than 50 people have already registered to Autreat 2013.
Some people will be coming to Autreat from as far as New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, England and Japan!

If you are wondering as to whether anyone from WP is coming to Autreat -
I believe many people who come to Autreat are members of WP, but I don't know how many of them have been visiting the forums recently. Some may be veteran members who no longer visit the forums, or only visit them rarely.

While no one owes anyone on this board travel plans, I am going to question if there is reasonable assurance that there will be offline interaction outside of the formal program.

Off-line interaction with members of WP?
I have no idea.
Off-line interaction with other aspies who are interested in similar subjects to yourself?
Almost certainly yes!

I attended three Autreats and I always had interesting conversations with other aspies who were interested in activism, music, Autistic culture, the arts, technology, science and social science, traveling, and more.

Some of the people who are planning to come to Autreat this year are -
Ian, the author of "A Field Guide to Earthlings: An autistic/Asperger view of neurotypical behavior":
http://www.afieldguidetoearthlings.com/
Ian is also building an autistic-run retreat center, in New Mexico:

Alex, who blogs at AspiePerspective: http://aspieperspective.blogspot.com
Kassiane, who blogs at Radical Neurodivergence Speaking: http://timetolisten.blogspot.com
Sarah, who blogs at "Autism, space and sensory accessibility": http://sarah-clemerson-autism-and-space.blogspot.com
Paula, who initiated International Autism Acceptance Decade and who blogs here: http://paulacdurbinwestbyautisticblog.blogspot.com
Jim, who authored "Being Autistic Together": http://dsq-sds.org/article/view/1075/1248
And many, many others...

Sounds interesting, but I'm too broke to go. I'm in Texas, so a trip to PA will cost me the admission price PLUS either air fare or gasoline. It's something to keep in mind though. :)

If you start walking right now, you may still make it to Aureat by foot :)

Registration for Autscape 2013 has been closed now.
115 people have registered. This makes it the largest Autscape ever, surpassing last year's record of 101 people.

I wonder how many people will be coming to Autscape 2014 :-)

Only on week to go until Autreat 2013 & Autscape 2013 begin!

Are you all excited about that?

Even if you can't be there physically, you will all be there in spirit, right?

Yeah, I can sense the excitement all over WP now!

Great :)

I am very excited that autreat starts on Monday. I can not wait to experience it again and see some of the people I may have met in 2011. Although I am saddened that Jim (j8 as some may know xem) might not be attending this year after all. Really hoping that changes.

Any retreats and such that happen in Canada? Ontario specifically?

No, but people travel together from Toronto to Autreat every summer. You can reach them through the Southern Ontario Aspergers Social Group:
http://www.meetup.com/asc-toronto/

Perhaps you could travel with them to Autreat next summer?

Do you think Jim was serious when writing xe might not be attending?
The latest correspondences on the Autreat-info mailing list give the impression that everything is back to normal and Jim will be at Autreat like every year.

I wish there was a gathering in the PNW like this. Pacific Northwest, that is.
Perhaps you can get the ASAN to organize one for you?
They have chapters in Seattle and in Portland:

Otherwise, perhaps you could come to the gathering Vicky is organizing near Denver, since Seattle is not extremely far away?

Also, after eating was there a workout area?
There wasn't, but there were plenty of open spaces outside, with wide areas of grass, so there was plenty of space for workout.
