(Still new here, if this thread belongs somewhere else, feel free to movie it, thanks!)
Does anyone else have rituals/rules about food and meal times? I have a few that make lunch at work challenging.
1. I tend to be territorial about my food. If someone I don't know well looks at it, smells it, or comments on how good it looks when they're walking by, I say "thank you" on the outside, but on the inside I want to bare my teeth and growl until they back away. I can't control the urge, or explain why I have it, but I'm very, very defensive. Conversely, if someone said my food smelled bad, I wouldn't care in the slightest.
2. I eat very, very, very slowly because I'm focused on everything around me, or on something else I'm doing at the moment. Finishing a meal in half an hour is really hard and I feel like I gulped it down.
3. When I'm at home, I frequently forget to eat until I can barely function and feel sick.
4. I despise cooking. I hate all of it, the chopping, the cooking of things, the mixing, the mess, everything about it.
I guess in short, if I could just photosynthesize instead, I would jump at the chance. Ugh. I really detest a lot of things about having to eat at all, but it's fuel, so I have to have it.
Anyone else have similar issues?
