A straightforward question...I've developed a new stim or two in the last couple months, which have replaced other, similar stims. I don't know if there's a certain regularity with which I develop new ones, but it seems that hand stims are the ones that change the most frequently for me.

I don't tend to develop new stims on any kind of regular schedule. Mostly just if I hang around with other autistics, I have a chance of copying their stims.

i dont really develop new ones, but under heavy stress, old ones might reappear for a bit.
the only realy 'reason' i know of for developing new stims is when the existing ones are either insufficient to keep your stress down, or if you actively supress one of your stims; this can/will cause a simular one to pop up
