I bought this "Book of Lists" by Scholastic and I am enjoying every page. Though it was published 2003 so some things I look up to make sure they are still accurate, but most things in there are unchangable. I keep going "Mom did you know-" or "Mom guess-" lol it's driving her nuts but I can't help it it's all so interesting and I want to share it!

My goal is to memorize everything! -Even if I have to use the internet to update it.

Anyone else love these kinds of books and/or learning facts and information?

This has reminded me how when I was a child I LOVED space. I loved studying it and everything. It was my favorite thing.

Fact!
The diameter of Mercury is 3,032 miles / 4,880 kilometers :D (I actually have that memorized and it only took me.... a few seconds lol)

This book as put me in a good mood today :)

I love learning stuff as long as it's in line with my interests.

I can't remember stuff from school but I can remember what the homeworld of the batarians from my game is called.

I can't remember stuff from school either. I have to learn it on my own.

Learning is fun, no matter whether who discourages it. Why else did Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit? We were built to learn.

Memorizing random trivia facts isn't something I'm really interested in.I like to know the names of all the characters and locations in my favourite novel series but I usually just memorize them incidentally by reading the books over and over again. On the other hand, I do like learning new words and their etymology.

I used to read any encyclopedia or reference book I could get a hold of. List books and Ripley's were my big addiction.

Aspies live in their own mind, and learning facts is like furnishing its rooms.

I'm not great at memorizing them or anything, but I do love facts and lists. Right now I am sort of into this book called Final Exits; it has all sorts of interesting stories and figures regarding death, past and present.

Yeah, I'm fascinated by facts. My interests have ranged from Nazi Germany to the black crow, from medieval torture techniques to the lives of the composers.

I am a walking font of random facts and lists. I love learning them. In fact, one of my favorite shows is QI (An English game show in which they don't expect the contestants to know the answers to the questions, so they give you points for not only correct answers but interesting ones, regardless of relevance. Stephen Fry is the host, Alan Davis is a permanent panellist and the other three are comedians that differ from episode to episode. Sometimes they have a scientist or a professor, but for the most part it's stand up comics and comedic actors) It's hilarious and you learn stuff. We can't access it in the states, but almost every episode is available on Youtube.

I like collecting World Records for an unknown reason. I often collect the books, often racing records and gaming speedrun timings, but have a fascination for Formula 1 Timings, its rules and its technological stats. I also had profound knowledge of country flags during my youth and had the knack of drawing the countries shape freehand without error.

I am also a computer wiz and know enough to pass a degree. My kind of specialisation is for Computer System Analysis and Design and have an ability to design a rough computer system from anything.

Otherwise I have a fascination for numbers perhaps detailed above. I often like games that visibly function with numbers, games like Civilisation 5 is an example.

It is very interesting and fun to learn facts! It also makes me feel smarter! :D I enjoyed history class a lot this year because my teacher was very educated on the subject. I was excited and told my mom some of the facts I learned.

I love to learn although most of it takes place within my special intrests, however I can get lost in the Top 10 of everything, Gennis World Records etc. I love charts/graphs and comparing simular things for some reason, I used to as a child subscribe and get airplane info papers in the mail, they were catergorized by type/useage with info on them and comparing graphs, I can spend hours in a day just reading them even now. I also like sales brochures and comparing models of things as well as reading industrial catalogs in waiting rooms. One quick look turns into minutes that turns into hours and then the whole day is gone. I am not usually a heavy reader however the bullet points with the technical graphs really absorb me and I absorb the infomation for some reason, like the books the OP mentions. I suppose I am addicted to information, if only I could have found school as interesting my life would have been so much easier.
