I'm a female with AS, and the following bores me senseless:

1. Animated movies
2. Most TV
3. Crafts
4. Antique shops
5. UNSTRUCTURED SOCIALIZING ("chit-chat")
6. Museums
7. Videos of pets playing with each other
8. Anything where you have to sit and socialize for any length of time. (Walking and socializing is somewhat more tolerable, maybe slightly less excruciating)
9. People exchanging baby pictures
10. Talk about childhood or mourning the death of a loved one (unless it is someone I know or care about)
11. Poetry
12. Plays
13. Church

There must be something seriously wrong with me, because I know many people enjoy the above, but I was wondering if anyone can relate to the above or if you have a list of your own you'd like to share! :)

Woah. Videos of animals playing bore you? The only thing boring about them is that the person filming ALWAYS feels a need to talk over the adorable cute sugabears being adorable cute sugarbears.

1. Most people
2. Most things

Things that bore me are.

People who talk about sport all the time:
People who brag about all their nephews and nieces when they know I lost my two nephews:

I hope this doesn't bore you, but I want to smooch your avatar-cat on the top of it's head.

I'm kind of sad that crafts, TV, museums, and antiques are on your list, as those are 4 of my biggest hobbies!

Most people
Most movies
Most TV shows
Idle small talk
My own hobbies can bore me senseless at times. Even ones I do infrequently.

In no particular order
religion
macroeconomics (even though I know it's very important)
elevator music
New Age anything
Miley Cyrus
The Kardashiens
Golf
Tennis
Romantic Comedy's

This song about boredom never bores me. Lyrics are pretty aspie to me

Yeah - well - I say what I mean
I say what comes to my mind
I never get around to things
I live a straight - straight line

You know me - I'm acting dumb
you know the scene - very humdrum
boredom - boredom

I'm living in this movie
but it doesn't move me

I'm the man that's waiting for the phone to ring
Hear it ring-a-ding-a-f***ing-ding

You know me ...

You see there's nothing behind me
I'm already a has-been
my future ain't what it was
well I think I know the words that I mean

You know me ...

B'dum - b'dum

I've taken this extravagant journey
so it seems to me
I just came from nowhere
and I'm going straight back there

You know me ...

So I'm living in this movie
but it doesn't move me
so tell me who are you trying to arouse?
get your hands out of my trousers

You know me ..

Being in a room full of women and feeling that I can't be myself.

Women talking about firemen and their big, strong muscles.

Waking up in the same old town day after day. I wish I was in London for half of the year.

Hearing young female cashiers saying, "Perfect!" over and over again.

Traditional gender roles.

Long shopping trips.

Anything that's mainstream, except for The Beatles.

I am bored by pretty much any activity which is not driven by logical thoughts. The notable exception to this is visual art, which can really captivate me.

It would be easier to list the things I don't get bored of than the things I do, but even my favorite activities can become boring if I'm not in the right frame of mind to enjoy them.

So, in short, everything bores me.

Algebra.. Specially the lectures if they are too long. I sit there "listening" by my mind is usually like "I wonder what's on TV tonight?" "I really need to finish reading my books." "Man, I could really go for a double cheese burger" while the professor is prattling on about points on and X and Y axis and formulas. (which explains why I am probably going to have to retake it next semester.)

Small talk.
Most popular music.
The social constructs of how the sexes are supposed to dress and behave.
A lot of television.
Gossip.
People going on and on about who is hot, male or female, doesn't matter.
Waiting in lines, waiting for people, or waiting for buses or planes.
Most reading material for English classes.
Public school = crummy day care.

Formulaic, predictable TV shows. Especially the kind of lowbrow sitcom that has an incessant laugh track, which makes it hard to ignore.

People who have to insert themselves into a debate but don't know how to debate. I enjoy a good discussion of politics or philosophy, but get so tired of the same old straw men and ad hominems.
