anybody idea's?
Hey everybody,
I was wondering if anybody could maybe help me with something? I'm doing this digital course, where i have to write everything about me and my autism. The first chapter has to be me describing what autism is, and what it means to me, like in, how do i see and experience the world as being autistic and stuff. And i've written a lot of things so far, but still got the feeling i'm missing things. I really would want to describe it all, but still want to stay on the core of what it means to be autistic. So i was thinking, maybe you could help me to bring some ideas to inspire me to write about? This is where i've wrote about so far:
- me and social interaction, in particular non-verbal communication
- how i experience other contacts, in particular friendships
- that i see the world fragmentary most of the time, and be overwhelmed by details and therefore not get the big picture most of the time
- overstimulating and high sensitivity and how that feels (and being chronic fatigue most of the time)
- how i experience my sensory perception (i also described my synesthesia)
- how i experience emotions and feelings
- how i experience my body differently (where i also describe things like depersonalization and derealisation)
- structure, planning and routine (and how i like those things )
- stereotype behavior, like preoccupations and strong interests in certain things
- and of course also my qualities that comes with the autism (which can never be enough of course )
Further, i describe some things what science and the literature says about autism here and there, and also my own vision and opinion about what i think autism is and means.
In this chapter it is mainly important that i give a good and whole image on what autism is exactly (what makes me significantly different from other people? or maybe just what makes me the same?), and how it effects my life.
Has any of you maybe some ideas that could inspire me to write about? It just doesn't feel complete to me the way it is now. Where do you think of when you have to explain to someone what autism means? Anything you can come up with is good to me! Thanks for your help!
