24 hours and 16 minutes and this holiday is pretty much over.

It has been a depressing lonely ride this year. I will feel much better when the world goes back to normal.

Not that I mind the world celebrating but its not so much fun when you are sat here by yourself whilst the world all accept and love each other and leave you out.

Not to mention the fact that my usual bus riding has been severely disrupted by the holiday season as the bus service not running! (stuck in all day tomorrow, can't ride any buses, no service :( )

Bah humbug.

Humbug indeed. Nearly done for another year.

Another couple of days and I can start to cut back on alcohol intake...

HNY :-)

HNY doofy

I will be cutting back on alcohol consumption too, before my liver blows up (not literally, hopefully, as this would be messy). It's not used to it.

Livers, like most pets apart from goldfish, just need a bit of basic training...

I dread the new year.
it is what I fear.
it is 6 hours near.
it sucks without peer.

I can't wait 'til next December.
just the good parts I remember.
were there a month to dismember,
choose January not December.

Nah, I do plenty more than that! :P Just went for a 9.1Km run this evening, for instance. Time for another workout and a stretch before I decide what I'm gonna do tonight. Hmmmm, stay in, go to the bar, head downtown, go to a friends, go to my sisters.. hmmmm. Undecided still. No matter what though, even if I opt to just sit here and finish reading a book, I'm having myself a nice night & am looking forward to kicking ass in 2014. 8)

This is quite true, although I usually only drink once a week if that often (twice this week due it being New years). I only ever drink if I have a full day coming up of being stuck in the house by myself thinking about how I am once again without a partner, lover or friends and wondering why because I am not that hideous. The rest of the week I am out traveling around or going to the gym so I am not stuck in thinking about things. Ergo, no need for alcohol.

I don't need alcohol to go out, I like being out.

Hope you enjoyed.

I am stuck at home now until the 2nd (and even then I may have to stay in for most of the day as my fridge freezer broke down before xmas causing me to lose a freezer full of meat in the process, so I have ordered a new one and they should be delivering it Thursday. It's a small one this time though as I get out frequently and am able to my foods/meat fresh every day now. No need to bulk buy and freeze). No buses running unfortunately and there isn;t really anywhere to go where I am living unless I nip to the local pub (which I don't want to do). It will be full of people I expect and I won't be able to quietly sit and read, sketch or knit.

Hence why I am glad the holiday season is nearly over...Things not running and being closed is a pain in the backside.

Ah December December, the month to remember
With jolliness, happiness and glee

All the months seem the same to me...they all blend into one another.

Another hour to go, but so far so good. So far I've just stayed in and relaxed, had a bit of a yoga stretch session. Contemplating heading to a bar I used to work at, but kinda tired & not really feeling it. I'm going to heat up some soup, take a hot shower, probably have a nice toke & maybe a drink or two since it's new years and all. I've also got some smudging sage I'll likely light up for a good hippified cleansing start to 2014. 8)

the booming and banging and hootin' and hollerin' has been going on since 6 this evening. what are all those people with noisemakers celebrating about? don't they know there will be all manner of calamity awaiting them in the new year?

The first thing I said after all fireworks were over was, "thank god".
I live in Vegas, so things get plenty crazy here between xmas and new years...
especially new years eve. Of course now I dread having to hear "happy new year"
for the next few weeks... but at least the worst of it is over with.
