It's my name. That is why I chose it.

I really don't know. I guess it is just ironic because I'm really very timid. It's also unique to the forums I visit.

I chose my name, 9Cat Mom, because I love cats and I have a total of nine cats, four indoor cats and five feral cats, making a total of nine.

Claradoon just came to me out of nowhere. It is the *only* name that came to me easily, ever in my whole life. I've always been stuck for names for dolls, pets, etc. Usernames are a huge pain in the neck, usually. This one just popped up.

Claradoon struck me as a cool name. Reminds me of Granfaloon.

Never cared much for the world as I found it. Always seeking new points of view, reeweaving facts into new stories, and after a while, the Patent Office started agreeing with me. As far as lone inventors, it is a job description of one out of ten thousand people.

As a very small child I asked, we have radio, and now television, what is next? In 15 years I was working IT.

What started with machines, seeking a unity and simplicity of design, form follows function, transferred into writing. Each story has a way to be told, produces it's own writing style, which I may never use again.

I see the system and pattern in things, and try to make them true to themselves. I am the photographer trying to get the angle and lighting that best brings out the subject.

The hard part for me has been thinking in pictures, and not having the words to express what I see. Vocabulary did not help, it is not shared, only in tech fields, words of art. I am trying to use words to generate pictures. I break up the common logic, use it in new orders, word holograms.

Jane Austin was denounced from Pulpits for creating the novel, Poe and Mary Shelly for Gothic Horror, H. G. Wells, and Jules Verne for Science Fiction, and Arthur Conon Doyle for the Detective Story. It was always the same, immoral points of view expressed, pornagraphic, corrupting the youth, wasting time, undermining religion and the Crown.

Being as the above is true, I wanted in on the game. My math teaching system undermines schools, my history of the Universe is my opinon of creation, carried down to the development of technology. I am amoral, a gifted pornographer, I most certainly undermine religion, government, most historians before me, and my highest goal is corrupting youth, but I will settle for old folks.

My academic mentor (and later, friend) named me the Lab Pet after I accidentally dripped sulfuric acid on my left forearm while I was titrating a long time ago. He was sort of a father figure to me and I think I loved him too. The name stuck. Also, the laboratory is my realm. I feel at home in the lab like no where else. Plus, I am mostly not verbal (sort of like an animal) and I am intuitively analytical. By this I mean I know what will happen in the lab before it happens only because of my enhanced senses (nothing magic or psychic)! I usually sign my log "the Lab Pet" too. Also, I try to please (they say I'm pretty) - like a pet. Sometimes my co-workers say, "Good Lab Pet." (sexy lab coat) Then I am happy.

Seriously though, my science is deeply important to me - I do not mean to downplay my role as a chemist. But, no reason not to have fun too.

I just wanted something where I wouldn't reveal my real name.

I especially appreciate yours - cyanide has a sweet, cloying smell like sugared almonds - just before death especially.

I chose my username because I feel like a ghost, or invisible to the world and I'm a girl. Also it's one of my most commonly used usernames.
