I've always found it painful to listen to people whispering. Not just whispering directly into my ear, but whispering in general. I actually kinda find it rather painful. Very soft, low voices bother me too...like the ASMR videos.

no, whispering does not bother me.

if someone is whispering directly in my ear. they rarely do that.

now that you brought it up, the thought of their saliva in my ear kind of bothers me.

but not their noise.

precious lil "people".

what does bother me though is how precious lil "people" talk so loud. and that is their standard speaking voice. might as well be natural.

some precious lil "people's" speaking voices are so loud, you would imagine they were constantly excited about everything.

those precious lil "people" profoundly get on my nerves.

then when i say something they have the nerve to squeak "huh?" and "what?". and they half listen when i say something.

It kind of bothers me when they whisper in a certain tone. Sometimes I tell them to be quiet but I mostly learned that doesn't work. Can't really resolve the issue, just have to deal with it sadly. Some one coping skill I use that might help you a bit is using Earplugs. The earplugs silence the noise and help me concentrate on the thing i'm working on. I hope this helps a bit! :)

The only time whispering bothers me is when I think they may be whispering about me. This has happened before. As for loud voices, I think my younger brother's hearing has been affected by too many years of listening to loud music and using loud power tools. Every time I'm with him he talks extremely loud, which he didn't use to do when he was younger. If your hearing abilities go down, you tend to raise your voice, so that you can hear it at the same level you used to hear it at. Unfortunately, this means blasting other people with a loud speaking volume. On the plus side, I'm not often with my younger brother, so I don't often have to put up with his loud volume. On the downside, I eventually want to see his house, and what he has done to fix it up. I also want to see his chickens & cat, so I will eventually have to put up with his loud voice for a while when I go see him. I honestly don't think he realizes that he is doing this.

I don't like whispering for two reasons:

1: I don't like that whistling breath sound that it makes

2: I can't help it but I want to hear what a person is saying, but I can't make it out when they're whispering. But I can't shake that I want to listen. And then I listen harder, which means I have to hear that ugly sound more.

Hate the soft sound of it! The sound itself!

Yes. I hate when people whisper to themselves.

I hate whispering. Can't stand it. It's one of my instant misophonia things. Anyone doing that near me gets a "stop that noise!! !"
