It seems I have a problem with realizing that I hurt someone's feelings or made them feel horrible. It often doesn't come to me how something I do might make someone else feel. Often, I realize how I made someone feel "months" down the line, and this makes me feel horrible about myself. Does this happen to someone else?

Yes. I took a substance to increase empathy and the normal darkness of my soul flooded with feelings as if from outside, ghosts of myself calling out to me, I didn't think it, I felt it. Now I hold on to the feeling, or at least the memory of it to make sure that nothing like this ever happens again.

I don't know how other people experience me unless they tell me. Sometimes I think that everything about me conveys that I love them and I'm happy to see them, and then I find out that I've been offending them all along because something about my body language or whatever has been communicating the opposite; they think I'm self-centered and don't like them. It stinks. I try to explain that I might not be aware of what I'm doing or how I come across, and would never want to hurt them. I request feedback if they are willing to help me relate better.

Yea. Been there, done that. Since I am a believer in reincarnation and karma, I suspect that my next incarnation will not be very pretty sight. Sigh. :(

Ya, that's called drug addiction.

Do NOT touch oxy or any other substance to try to increase empathy. Just my word of advice.
