Most of the time, I have a lot of mental strain because of my tics. I hold them in until no one is around then I explode into them. Problem is, when one of my friends tic, I start ticcing automatically.

Aside, I flap my hands and toe bounce. It has always worked.

If it's just regular calming, rocking and sorting through my marbles or if I need to clear myself I have this other thing I do that I don't have the energy to put into words and it changes somewhat, not an identical routine every time, but similar enough. Depends on what feels right. Another sort of rocking is back and forth while sitting with my right hand propping up my face and the right forearm pressuring my chest as though it is supporting my trunk. I guess it really is a deep-pressure thing. Lots ofmother stuff too, but I think these are the mot common for me, as of right now and as far as I can remember.

heavy breathing, or pursuing special interests. If I can see a situation coming, I will have a meltdown before hand when I'm alone to release the pre-existing energy

I curl up with my blankie and deeply breath in its scent usually rubbing it across my nose and cheeks.

Also listen to music.

Isolation, hot baths, a blanket wrapped tightly around my shoulders and arms. Intense, dramatic music. Being outdoors, especially in a forest or near a lake. Staring into a fire. Lap swimming and long walks. Hot beverages. Talking to myself or singing. From when I was a kid, running my fingers over velvety fabrics or my own eyelashes.
