I love to sing. I'm not very good, but I agree that it feels therapeutic. I'm nervous singing in front of others, unless I know they like it. I sang some pop funk stuff from the 80's to my friends the other night. I was really wired and just started singing choruses from "You Dropped the Bomb on Me," "Oh, Sheila," and other stuff. They thought it was hilarious. So did I. We laughed a long time and their daughter kept singing the long one syllable "owwwww!"

I sing Nevermore to myself all the time. I know the vocals so well it's like a good exercise. I've sang some of those songs for my ASD friend. I fell over once singing "Next in Line" while headbanging one time. He laughed and said it was "epic." I wish I had a video of it. It would be pretty funny.

I like doing acoustic cover versions of my favourite metal songs. It's interesting how you can change the whole mood of a song by the way you interpret it. Some of the lyrics are quite dark or inappropriate but I will sing them sweetly to a nice arpeggio. Idk, it just amuses me.

It has been one of few refuges for me since I was a young child. I put my music on and sing and the rest of the world disappears.

I love singing. I've been singing ever since I was a tiny little kid. My whole family sings. I find it cathartic, as well----a complete escapism.

I sing sometimes but never so anyone can hear. I'm a terrible singer, completely tone-deaf.

Black Sabbath's 'Cross of Thorns' is one of my favorites so I've been singing that a lot lately.

FUNNY DEATH METAL LYRICS OF THE WEEK: 'DEMON'S WIND' BY VADER
Clammy frog descends
Demon's wind, the stars answer your desire
Join the undead, that's the place you'll never leave
You wanna die... but death cannot do us apart...

Love to sing but pretty much only in private. I like songs from 1950's-60's, old TV themes and old Gospel songs. Makes me feel good to sing.

I have a feeling that if I somehow got soused that I'd get up on a table and shout-out "mack the knife"

Too much like country for me with that plodding beat. I was expecting a yeee-ha! at any moment. A more bluesy version would be nice.
I need to listen to the whole album now. Thanks for that :D

I can't figure it out either, but always remember that "https" is a no-go, you must remove the S first, as all youtubes have it. in addition the youtube url must be complete from the address/url line atop the browser, and must be prefaced with a . Okin seems like a cross between steve martin and leon redbone :)

Thanks for that. I need cheering up at the moment so I go back to this kind of thing which makes me smile - as does this:

(I tried. I failed. There is no url address/line atop the browser)

what browser do you use? I use IE11 which has an address bar at the top which supplies the needed full url.

The Cat
Meow, meow, meow.
Now, just like everbody, you've got troubles of your own,
But let me tell you, mister, of the sorrow I have known.
I had an old, gray cat that I couldn't bear to keep.
He spent the nights a-howlin' and he wouldn't let me sleep.
So I put him in a box and I tied it up quite well.
I had some fellas help me and I paid them not to tell.
They put it in a boxcar, the westbound 710.
The train pulled away and was never seen again.
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back and he wouldn't stay away.
Meow, kitty. Meow, so pretty.
Meow, such a pity, but the cat came back.
We took him to the harbor and we put him on a ship.
We bid him, "Bon voyage," for that oceanic trip.
The captain was obliging and glad to help us out.
They tied him to the anchor so that there could be no doubt.
Well, we heard the sad report of that mighty storm at sea
And, though it may sound heartless, I was happy as can be.
The paper said the ship went down beneath a heavy gale
And not a single soul was left to tell the awful tale.
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back and he wouldn't stay away.
Meow, kitty. Meow, so pretty.
Meow, such a pity, but the cat came back.
Then we gave him to a scientist destined for the moon.
The cat was used for ballast in an outer space balloon.
I guess you know what happened, that balloon is up there still
And early that next morning, guess what came across the hill.
Meow, that's right.
Now, everyone in town was sworn to shoot that cat on sight.
With that crazy cat around, you couldn't sleep at night.
We even formed a posse just to hunt that critter down.
You could hear the guns a-blazin' as we ran him out of town.
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back and he wouldn't stay away.
Meow, kitty. Meow, so pretty.
Meow, such a pity, but the cat came back.
Here's the moral to our story: When looking for a friend,
If you get an old, gray cat, he's yours until the end.
You'll never drag him off, no matter what you do.
Bear in mind this dreadful tale that we have told to you.
But the cat came back the very next day.
Yes, the cat came back and he wouldn't stay away.
Meow, kitty. Meow, so pretty.
Meow, such a pity, but the cat came back.
