let trolls hang around
let trolls rejoin
let trolls trap you into answering loaded questions
let trolls take over a thread and change it to suit their own agenda

(Sigh. Please come back, Tallyman, we need you)

That's what I was thinking. We all have our own issues, likes and dislikes. We also each have our own life histories and stories. Instead of putting each other down, we could learn from one another.

If this site had a Like button, I'd like this response. Those are all very good points. I never really did understand the Kardashians. I also like the point of not going into Love and Dating while feeling sad or fragile.

...tar all NTs with the same brush (assuming they are all dumb, uninteresting and unkind beings)

...think of a random thing about yourself, like having blue eyes, and assuming its to do with having AS

...keep changing the definition of empathy each time a thread comes up about it

I've learned that pretty much like in the NT world, that I should not go on and on about my special interests in every thread that's made. I've also learned that it's a very bad idea to start a thread asking if everyone thinks that my special interests are unusual for WP. I did that two years ago during the Easter long weekend and I still regret it to this day. I've also learned that it's better to be myself than it is to hide behind masks. My two famous masks of the past are The Nerd ad The Punk Rocker. At first, I wanted to impress everyone by proving my intelligence. After a few years, I wanted to show people how tough I could be if things don't go my way. I just be myself now. I have been doing that for five years and I've learned that I have a very rich personality just being myself - Kinks Fan as some old lady said to her friend a couple of summers ago. They were both talking about the changes I've made to suit myself as I walked past them.

I made the mistake of doing that five years ago this spring about some ableist jerk I had to deal with on a Friday the 13th. Most of the people in that thread took the jerk's side and I got no support whatsoever. I haven't started too many threads in The Haven since than.

That is the whole purpose of that forum, if people are getting put down there that should be reported to moderators. Where to post on here when feeling down than anyways? if not the forum specifically for it.

Not 10 things but figured I'd try and come up with something.

I also like that list. There are too many people who presume these things.

Don't speak so matter-of-factly. For almost every "fact", there's a counter-fact.
