It's impossible to tell. I would have to meet you in person, and observe you over a period of time.

Anyway, under the DSM-V, you wouldn't be either one--because they don't exist.

You would be diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Probably Level 1.

I was diagnosed as autistic at age 3.

"Brain-damaged" at about age 4.

I don't have a recent autistic diagnosis---but I would be in Level One should I have one.

I would not benefit from one. And it would cost me lots of money.

I know what I am. I know my background. I don't need a present diagnosis to confirm that.

Well, firstly, those two diagnoses don't exist anymore. It's all autism now.

Secondly, even when they did exist, interrater agreement on them was extremely poor. Each clinician had their own personal definition of the boundaries between the different autism spectrum conditions, and agreement across clinicians was barely better than chance. (At least LFAs weren't called Asperger - but they could be called autism or PDD NOS. HFAs and MFAs could get all three pretty much randomly.)

So for us to decide which label best fits you, the labels would have to have a consistent agreed-upon meaning, and they don't.
