I might be asexual, or simply indifferent to sex. This is not to say that I don't feel sexual attraction, but I have rarely felt inclined to follow up on it. Even in our highly sexualised society, asexuality is far more common than most people realize, and is a very healthy way to live.

I'll do my best to help in that balancing act too :)

I've never heard of that term before, Kraftie - and I hope I never do again :)

It conjures up unpleasant thoughts.

YUK!

Sorry! Nothing personal. As usual, I say stuff that's wrong but I just can't stand being touched by anyone else, let alone... well! You know! :(

I've been thinking more and more about this since reading this thread and have come to the conclusion that I find any sexual needs I have to be nothing more than an annoyance/burden to me and I'll never understand how people seen to view sex as the best thing in the world. If I could voluntarily get rid of my libido, I wouldn't think twice.

Sometimes the chores/time/energy needed to eat are a pain too - and take up far more of my daily resources than sex - however I have no plans nor desire to give up food any time soon. Admittedly everyone needs food. Sex you can live without, happily or unhappily as the case may be.

I'm not sure though what your definition of asexual actually is - does it mean you have never been turned on, not once, in your entire life? Or something different?

No, but since I avoid the topic a lot due to being fully aware of what I can be like when discussing anything taboo, people might think I am.

I'm definitely NOT asexual. I'm very tactile. My partner has never complained about this particular aspect of Asperger's.

I identify as asexual or non-sexual most of the time. I'm attracted to women, but I have maybe a 1% interest sometimes in that sort of stuff, but 99% of the time I don't really care about it.

I have more fun with my interests and spending time alone than being with other people I find.

It depends.
I was always interested in the opposite sex, but never developed an innate interest in sex when I hit puberty.
When my first girlfriend introduced me to sex, I found I enjoyed it. That eventually lead to a conditioned interest in sex.

That's very considerate of you to do that but I've got to ask, what do you find so enjoyable about putting your naked body so close to another human's naked body? Sweat, etc. I find it extremely gross and can't even fathom why someone would like that.

For many years of my relationship, I slept on the lounge downstairs (with the cats :) ) because of this and it eventually was the ruination of our relationship.

I still grieve about not being with her but I guess I never really was with her!

Just to be clear, I have not had my first sexual encounter yet.

I know I am never had the felling of needing or wanting to do the deed with anyone, also never had the feeling of wanting to date anyone even back in high school.
