Im 43 year old male and always had bad ADHD. I also take mediation for the ADHD. Can someone tell me ever since i was a kid and if I got blamed for something i would have this guilty smile on my face even if i was innocent. Also if someone tells me of a person who has passed away or been seriously injured i can't help but smile. I think its from when you look into a persons eyes that makes me smile. I also have trouble looking into people eyes as well.

Inappropriate emotional expression and not knowing how you are expected to act are traits of autism. It depends on why you smiled in those situations.

Well all I can say is my brain made me smile. It was not my choice. What else can I say.

Aspergers' *is* autism, just a mild form of it. It's like someone asked us "Would you like some autism in your coffee?", and we answered "Okay, but just a dash." :)
