Is it bad that I won't accept my sister's boyfriend until she is engaged. She has been with him for 2 years, and they live together. They live together and he should marry her otherwise I won't accept him.

Why is it important for you that your sister marry her boyfriend? What makes it hard to accept him otherwise?

When I was 14 I was jealous that my FRIEND was in a relationship but that jealousy died pretty quickly after the age of 16. I was only jealous because the guy was cute and he said he liked me first.

My sibling could be married and I would never be jealous of my sisters relationships.

In fact I'm very very happy being single.

I think there's sort of a "moral" component to this. Maybe she doesn't believe in people being in a physical relationship unless they are engaged or married.

to be honest im just kinda jelous that my sister can deal with the world, she seems to have a way easier time making friends, she seems to be able to do all of that social stuff without any problem AND constantly undermine me when i mess up ( which i do, a lot). although she has never dated, i assume she will be the first to actually do that, which i guess i would be jelous of for a while.

i guess its a sort of heightened sibling rivalry

Doesn't really bother me because its not my problem, besides I'm not at the point where I feel like I'm ready to get a girlfriend yet.

<--- Has four brothers and one sister, all married (or once married) and all have kids. What happened to Robin? Well, they call it Asperger's Syndrome.

It doesn't bother me that my sister is married with a child and I'm not. I don't have what it takes to have a traditional family. I'd have to wear a mask and I'm done with masks.

Not really, but it does bother me that cousins and friends have a significant other, and I don't. I don't really resent it, so much as I feel sad that I don't have somebody. Maybe I am jealous, because I don't like the thought that cousins achieve something before I do, even though I am older than them. But that is not always my feeling.
