Does anybody else feel really panicked when you haven't finished all your work which you know will delay the time your shift ends?

I'm generally not rigid about schedules, but when it comes to unplanned overtime (having to stay after shift), I get really anxious because I like to be out the building by the time my shift finishes. Maybe it's because I get emotionally shattered, I don't know.

Does anyone else feel like this when overtime is put upon you?

I wish there was more overtime where I work; I could make more money that way.

We don't get paid for overtime at our place. Maybe if we did it might not be so bad.

I feel more anxious if I'm the only one who's work area is not all finished and everyone else's is, and they're all packing their stuff away and going home, while I'm still working and rushing to get it done. I remember a few months ago we all had to stay behind for about half an hour for a quick meeting with the boss. But I didn't feel so anxious because everybody else had to stay behind too, not just me, so it didn't feel so bad.
