Personally, the majority of the day I'm either in my computer/study/school room or my bedroom.
My computer/school room is pretty messy with the books and all, but that doesn't really bother me that much. I like to keep the rooms I stay in relatively dark, I feel anxious and somewhat annoyed if a room is too bright. Likewise, my bedroom is small, well-kept, neat and dark. I like dark because it feels like I don't have to try as hard to cope with what's going around, it's just always been a calming thing to me. Small rooms, my bedroom is small, which I like, everything is practically in one spot so, which is convenient to have everything there when you need it. My bed is very low to the ground, I like being low to the ground for some odd reason since I don't feel so high up.

So what's your living area like WP community?

My flat is very clean, but that's thanks to my partner that I live with. Before that....hmm...have you seen a show called "Hoarders"? :pale:

Oddly enough I'm the opposite regarding dark or light in my space; my tendency toward depression is increased when my environment is darkly lit, and my mood is lifted by cheerful lighting and light-colored decor and furnishings (I can't do black sofas and such!). I don't need things super-bright and lit but I do like light and can't live with darkness. I have two room lamps that make things look "warm" and cheerful, and I keep my kitchen light on as it opens onto my living room.

For tidiness I used to be a lot, lot, lot better than I am now; things being clean and orderly lifts my mood but lately I can't get a handle on upkeep of my own space; the depression both causes that and is made worse by it.

I recently moved into a house with my youngest brother. I still spend the majority of my time in my bedroom where my tv and computer reside with me. We get along great, he is also a hermit even for him being an NT, so we each have our own space and both seem to like it that way. :)

I don't like looking at a computer screen or the tv when my room is dark so I usually have the light on or light shining in my room.

My home is small and cosy. I like Persian rugs and we have a multifuel stove. I like pictures, books, nick nacks and wall hangings. I have cats.

Dark and dingy. Most importantly, dark. Light is a killer for me, especially sunlight. That's why I put up a whole bunch of curtains. Still on weekends and days off, I see that the sun is out as it still comes through a little bit.

After the last trace of daylight is gone, it seems as if a huge burden has just been lifted.

I live an an apartment in a nice area, which I enjoy for walks. Only problem is that I can never get sunlight in my windows so it's hard to have it well-lit during the day, and I'm right next to the parking lot. I can hear people out there as early as 6am or as late as 2am with loud voices. Inside is pretty cluttered... but I manage. I don't keep many things so there's never much to clean. Mostly drinks I left around or dust on tables/computer.

It gets cluttered but I try and keep it clean. I sweep everyday and clean whatever I think needs to be done. I spend most of my times on the main floor so it's rugs and furniture and big windows in each room except for the kitchen and there are toys on this floor and my computer and my purse, plus the table where my dad works. Right now the living room is a little cluttered from the kids. Shoes on the rug, chair on the floor laying down, a few Legos under the chair and pieces to the Connect Four and one of the boxes is under the table and the toy piano is on the coffee table with the magna doodle and Lego container and bucket and the main frame for the Connect Four, blankets on the couch, papers on the floor, cup on the table with his papers and computer on it and my safe is under the table and there is a pillow on the floor.

I have a pretty large bedroom I share with my boyfriend with attached bathroom, and then we have a pretty large kitchen/living room area basically just a gigantic open room containing a living room and kitchen and laundry area. we also have sky light windows. Then there are two bedrooms and a garage which my brother converted into a room...basically just cleaned it and put furniture and such in there.

And we have a yard out back which is nice.

But my room is rather cluttered/messy but working on trying to clean it up since it irritates me being in there with the mess. We moved in quite a while ago but uhh just can't figure out where to put things or store crap I don't really need currently. And seems I do so much laundry only to still constantly have a huge pile of dirty laundry or tons of dirty laundry strewn across the floor(plenty of which I threw there myself)...I guess one must just accept that particular thing never ends.
