My old psychiatrist was very very unprofessional so I need to find a new doctor. I must have called about 40 or 50 different doctors. Does anyone know of any really good doctors who treat Asperger's Syndrome or Autism in Fort Worth, Denton, or Dallas (all in Texas)??? Please help!! !!

I really need a psychiatrist because I need someone to look after my medication.

I forgot to add:

The psychiatrist must see adults.

There are no autistic people in Texas just cowboys who prefer being out in the fields rather than back at the ranch.

Just kidding I'm from Texas myself :P

Which is why I can honestly say your lucky if you can find anyone there who knows anything about autism its like the dark ages sometimes.

My son sees Denise Wooten for counseling. She isn't a psychiatrist and she only sees children, but she has been very helpful with dxing and helping my son deal with Aspergers. Her number is (972) 436-6158. Maybe she could refer you to a psych who treats adults.

Good luck!

I did a web search and here's a psych. who has done some specialized work in autism & if doesn't work with Asperger's could also probably help with referral. Often people at major university med. centers are good because they're kind of the 'super-specialists' and work with people a lot of docs in the community don't see.
