This guy seems to be taking misdiagnosis of other conditions as ADD and interpreting these as 'subtypes' of ADD instead of realizing they're misdiagnosed.

For example, the 'ring of fire' subtype is actually bipolar disorder, and limbic ADD is really depression.

I relate to all of this so much right now...much more than my self-identification with ASD at the moment. My mom and psychiatrist think that I have ADD.

Your results indicate that it is likely you have ADD
Your results indicate that it is unlikely you have Inattentive ADD
Your results indicate that it is likely you have Over-focused ADD
Your results indicate that it is likely you have Temporal Lobe ADD
Your results indicate that it is likely you have Limbic ADD
Your results indicate that it is likely you have Ring of Fire ADD

Holy crap...it's like I can relate to every symptom....

Excessive daydreaming
Has trouble with time (for example, frequently late or hurried, tasks take longer than expected, projects or homework are “last minute” or turned in late)
Strong tendency to get locked into negative thoughts, having the same thought over and over
Work or schoolwork deteriorates under pressure
Tendency to turn off or become stuck when asked questions in social situations
Tendency to worry needlessly and endlessly
Frequent search for high stimulation
Quick responses to slights that are real or imagined
Trouble sustaining friendships, promiscuity
Chronic sense of underachievement, feeling you should be much further along in your life than you are
Frequent feeling of demoralization or that things won't work out for you
Chronic problems with self-esteem/negativity
Chronic procrastination or trouble getting started
Poor organization and planning, trouble maintaining an organized work/living area
Easily overwhelmed by tasks of daily living
Some adults with ADD are very successful, but often only if they are surrounded with people who organize them.
Restlessness, constant motion, legs moving, fidgetiness
Trouble sitting still, such as trouble sitting in one place for too long, sitting at a desk job for long periods, sitting through a movie
An internal sense of anxiety or nervousness
Easily distracted, tendency to drift away (although at times can be hyper focused)
Difficulty learning new games, because it is hard to stay on track during directions
Frequently misplaces things
Family history of ADD, learning problems, mood disorders or substance abuse problems
Periods of low energy, especially early in the morning and in the afternoon
Frequently feeling tired
Difficulties falling asleep, may be due to too many thoughts at night
Difficulty coming awake (may need coffee or other stimulant or activity before feeling fully awake)

Given a “tentative” diagnosis as a child as I needed services at school for what was later correctly discovered to be a major anxiety disorder.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term psychiatrists - that I am a highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder

My diagnoses - anxiety disorder, depression and traits of obsessive-compulsive disorder (all in remission).

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

60 on the first one (lots of ADD tendencies)

Your results indicate that it is likely you have ADD

Your results indicate that it is unlikely you have Inattentive ADD

Your results indicate that it is likely you have Over-focused ADD

Your results indicate that it is likely you have Temporal Lobe ADD

Your results indicate that it is likely you have Limbic ADD

Your results indicate that it is likely you have Ring of Fire ADD

Don't know what this means.

I have Nonverbal Learning Disorder really badly. I think this LD is very hard to separate from ADHD in certain areas, so I don't put too much stock in the results.
