Evaluator Suggests ABA Therapy
Recently, I have finished up testing for an Autism diagnosis and am awaiting an official prognosis. At the end of the session, the evaluator suggested possible ABA therapy for my attention problems at school. I've heard ABA therapy is harmful for autistic individuals, but I don't know how much the experiences and treatments of others would effect me if I choose to go along with it. I imagine if I find it bad I can just cancel it, but I wanted to know others opinions on this.

From what I understand, a lot of stuff that isn't really ABA gets called ABA because it's all insurance will pay for in the US.
Why don't you ask them what specifially happens in these therapy sessions? In any case, they should know that autistic people need information about new situations.
