Time from doing ADOS to being told the result of your assess
I did my ADOS during my assessment testing, and not on a separate day.
When I was leaving, my assessor said that I was definitely on the spectrum and at a moderately functioning (L2) level, but she would require time to prepare her formal conclusions. We scheduled another meeting one month later, where I received her twenty-page diagnostic report with all the charts and scores. I was able to read through the report with her and ask questions, and then I took it home to look for minor errors or omissions. I e-mailed her a few corrections, and she forwarded hard copy and digital versions of the revised document the next day. She also sent hard copies on my behalf to any relevant professional I had authorised (e.g., my GP and Trauma Psychologist).
Please don't infer that all doctors follow this pattern, or that you can draw conclusions if your doctor didn't give you a verbal confirmation after the ADOS.
Hugs

It’s best to just try to distract yourself as much as you can.

It is like the feeling you get when you know there is an appointment so it is on ones mind. I had over four years of aaiting for a dentists appointment before as they wanted to knock me out. My local dentist doesn't do this. I had never been knocked out before. It was funny. I was so nurvous. I had it done a month and a half early as someone had camcelled. They were brilliant there. I needn't have been so worried. The only thing was that they start to slowly explain everything when I was like "Quick, do it now while I am ready!" Haha. Well, they said I will just feel a funny sensation when the injectio.. Well, I woke up ...
That's funny I thought while I was lying there with my eyes closed... I didn't feel aaake enough to move or look. I thought "Why are there two ladies I don't know having a chat in my bedroom? I don't normally get ladies in my bedroom apart from my mum on occasions... What's going on?"
Haha! Well. When I got my eyes to open so I could actually see it was a case if "Where am I?" and then I remembered though was confused as I woke up in a different room to the one I had been in. The athodontist (Authodentist? You know. The specialist dentist place) is so much better as the rooms are nice and large and there are windows that let the light in. So much better. My local dentist rooms have no windows and feel claustrophobic. They are not tiny but the lack of windows makes them feel smaller then they are. I did ask my dentist if she could take the equipment to work on my in the middle of a field. I wouldn't mind if it was raining! My dentist is a lovely lady though. I just really panic at having my teeth worked on... Last time the lady who was assisting my dentist told me off as I was panicing just for a check up!
Umm. I seem to have written beyond the origional topic.
To sum up. Anyone have any idea what to expect with the assessment. I am on a list though it is likely to be quite a whilw as yet unless a miriacle takes place. I don't want to do anything which would change the results in that I am concerned that by thinking too much about things in one direction or the other may give totally different results. I want the correct results which ever way it is. (If that makes sense).
I have done an online test twice now. One said I was boarderline and that was a few years ago when an asperges girlfriend insisted I take it rather then ask her questions... About two weeks ago someone gave a link to what I believe to be the same test. I tried it witn a very different result. 41 out of 50. However, when I took it before I was feeling really happy in myself with no stress. This time I was all nurvous or stressed. Does it make that much of a difference?
I don't want to take another as I don't want to influence any results either way.

The first time I took the ADOS, it was five weeks between the time I did it and the time when I got a call to come back in because my report was ready. The report included everything from the previous four sessions I'd had though, not just the ADOS.
The second time I took it, the wait time was almost exactly a month, though I only had to wait three weeks to get an emailed copy of the written report.
