A few weeks ago N (my late wife's granddaughter) Facebook messages about any photo's I may have of her nan, as she wants them as a surprise for her sister K's wedding in a few months .

A few weeks later K messages me asking the same thing. Completely threw me . N obviously wants it as a surprise for her sister, but how do I get round K asking me ?

My stepdaughter told me what to do , but as it was spoken it's gone right out of my head .

I guess I would send them to "N" and not to "K" because "N" wants to surprise "K."

Ask N what to do, since it was her idea first. It's obvious that K will really appreciate this surprise!

I would go with Isabella's suggestion. If K has asked you for photos, she'll likely have asked N, too; so N will no doubt have already devised a little subterfuge so as not to spoil the surprise. In the mean-time, a vague "I'll have a rummage to see if I can find any" will probably suffice.
