If you have OCD, do you have any negative thoughts?

I probably have OCD to some degree. I have to double and triple check things, in general.

For example, when I lock the door as I leave, I have to come back and check at least once to make sure that I actually locked it. Usually I have to go back inside and make sure that the oven is turned off and the toilets aren't running.

I have a wonderful solution, though. I no longer lock the doors. My door at home hasn't been locked in probably 7 or 8 years. The back door at the office gets locked maybe once or twice a year.

No locked doors means I don't have to come back and check anything.

Mine too. I can't sleep and eat regularly because of them. They Come and go randomly and when it's over i forget i ever had those thoughts. What my therapist and a lot of people told me are you should just let the thoughts be. You're not a bad person because of your thoughts. They're just going to Come and go and life will go on regardless of you and your thoughts.
PM me if you want to talk in detail.
