High-pitched singing?

I like hearing high-pitched singing. I was wondering if anyone heer enjoys it to. I thought of it from that new Suave commercial with high singing in it. Also, there is a term for high-pitched singing but I was unable to think of it. If anyone knows it feel free to remind me.

I once made a supervisor at my last job cry, because I was having a meltdown and said some horrible things about her high-pitched singing. It was more than one octave above what was playing on the radio, out of tune, and hurt my ears. Hey I can't help it. I have sensitive ears and perfect pitch. She should've sang softer and in tune or kept quiet.

Favorite heavy metal singers with high pitch voices. Maybe there's a link here? I like all types of singing, but Geoff Tate's voice has something about it. A few others come close, but I remember searching for the highest pitched singers as a teenager lookin for some more metal CDs. Warrel Dane was probably the highest pitched I've found, and was a favorite of mine for a long time. Might have been an obsession of mine, now that I think about it...

i would not sing in a way that I didn;t like....I could sing lower...but it bothers me to do so....it feels like my voice is stuck in the ground, while hight pitched singing is more like allowing my voice to sorta fly (i know sounds cheesy)

I don't like high-pitched singing, even if it's tuneful...it makes me cringe, lol. Any high pitched noises do.

The word for men who sing very high, is falsetto. Is that the word you are looking for Jayman?

Anyone remember Frankie Valli?

I love falsetto...I sing it a lot when I'm goofing off, and I've noticed that a lot of my favorite bands employ it...I've always been a really big fan of Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons, and the Bee Gees. Dunno what it is that I like about it...maybe just because it's so soft and smooth, like the soft spot on my guitar. There's this one area on the neck, somewhere near the 12th fret, especially on the unwound strings...just can't get enough of it \m/

Yes, when it's sung well. In fact, low pitched singing tends to really bother me. I dislike it when songs start out low pitched, but once it gets higher, I really enjoy the song.

am fed up of teenage girls who go around doing those girl noises/screeching/singing in packs,their pitch and volume hits am deeply and am very lucky if am not am left in a state or going for them over it.

If falsetto counts as high pitched singing, it doesn't really annoy me. In fact, falsetto always soothes me. I especially enjoy it when I hear R&B songs with performers using that type of vocal range. I even like when the Rock singers do it, but it's annoying in any other type of way to me, like in opera for example. That's TOO high pitched for me!

For the most part, I am ok with high pitches. Some sounds are downright PAINFUL to me, and they HAPPEN to be high pitches. Some may be higher, and I STILL like them.

Hate it. And out of pitch singing. I cannot stand flat notes :S

I don't mind high-pitched singing, but I wouldn't say I like it more than other forms of singing. It depends on the singer.

A lot of other high-pitched sounds hurt me, but I don't think singing ever has.
