I spent most of last summer getting TMS treatments because the pandemic made my mental health plummet to a level I didn’t think it was possible to go. However, looking back, the TMS didn’t really change my mental health. Even undergoing it, I still felt depressed and unhappy with my life. It didn’t erase my mental blocks nor help my anxieties. I was hoping it would make me able to socialize more and even help me finally establish a romantic relationship after not having one since 2010 but it didn’t do that for me.

That's a shame, though perhaps not surprising. I gather the success rate is only about 30%. Hope you didn't have to pay for it yourself, as it's not cheap. I guess you'll just have to try something else.

My depression has been very treatment resistant. It essentially fights against anything that could potentially help me.

I didn’t pay for it.

I don’t even think ECT could help me either. My brain just refuses to accept any treatment for depression. I’ve lived with it for so long it’s probably altered my neural pathways to the point they can’t change.

You give up too easily.

I honestly feel like I wasn’t meant to live.
