I do think that brains, like chips, are set at different speeds. I have an LED light that achieves yellow by quickly alternating red and green. If I am sweeping my gaze across it, I see the flashing. Some other people do not.

Never heard of the condition. But had a friend who seemed to fit that description. Normal intelligence, but just...slow.

When another friend talked to him on the phone she said he reminded her of the Bob and Ray character from "the Slow Talkers of America" comedy sketch.

In fact he said himself that he a had a condition that prevented him from processing reading text. Not dyslexia, but something like that.

Warning: 9+ year old video.

I know there's an newer version of this video (of same topic and same speaker at later date) somewhere and is at least 6 years old.
