This is true. Anyone can get treatment for free at Accident and Emergency. You'll be triaged, like everyone else. Not sure where this idea that foreigners are prioritised comes from.

You can also see a GP and if you have something infectious like chicken pox or something you'll get treated.

But you won't get treatment for chronic diseases or anything like that on the NHS unless you're a UK resident. You won't get a referral for a specialist in anything.

We have a reciprocal arrangement with the EU for wider treatment including existing diseases and chronic illness. You can get things like blood dialysis and cancer treatment if you're an EU citizen or in the EEC. Somehow this survived Brexit.

Also be aware that not all treatments are available on the NHS. And others, particularly mental health issues, have crazy long waiting lists. If for example, you can even get on the waiting list for an ASD assessment, you'll be waiting a couple of years, depending on where you live.

I'm not offended. But folk medicine is not based on scientific research. Is like to know if there are any reliable studies demonstrating its effectiveness.

Something being around a long time doesn't mean it's effective or safe. People were using lead in all sorts of household products for thousands of years before we finally figured out that it's poisonous.

That is very true about lead but Sasparilla and generally most of the reccomendations in that book are based on plant bases .. Obviously by now people have disvovered some plants,are poisonous too nowadays.And even back then.

Tobacco is also plant based. Doesn't mean it's good for anyone.

You're engaging in what is known as the Naturalistic Fallacy which argues that something is automatically "good" simply because its natural. But that isn't always the case: Tapeworms are natural. Malaria is natural. Earthquakes and hurricanes and tsunamis are all natural. Many types of cancer are %100 natural.

Anyway, folk medicine can sometimes be effective. But you would need long-term studies to demonstrate that something is.

Well those are super easy.

Americans are seen as "useless eaters" by those countries. And to get the U.S. on par with the Scandinavian countries, we would have to overthrow the red state governments, because due to voter suppression and gerrymandering, it's the only option.

The red states don't want to do anything that would benefit anyone other than wealthy, white, straight, cis, Christian males.

You are your own best doctor in deciding what you consume and what you do. Food, water, exercise, sunlight etc.

From some of your other posts I’d say the answer is likely “No, not yet.” So there’s likely still plenty you can do besides moving to another country to seek pharmaceutical intervention.

Also, fwiw, if you can’t afford the pharmaceutical options where you are right now chances are you can’t afford to move to another country - almost certainly not one with better and more affordable healthcare options. You’d likely have to have a big bank account Or skills to put to work to be admitted into another developed country. Or perhaps be willing and able to do a job locals won't, then maybe you could slide in on a work permit and then access a different healthcare system. Without big money or sought after skills you’re mostly looking at very hard work - farm labour, hanging drywall etc.

The problem is the right, who think anything other than Trumpism is “Marxist”, and so much as wearing a mask and getting vaccinated is “socialism”.

And even if they supported universal healthcare, they still wouldn’t vote Democrat because they think the Dems will “take their guns”, “legalize pedophilia” and “persecute white Christians”.

Sweden has a will to become the 51st state. We are very Americanized.
BUT, politically our (if you don't count the rasist SD party) our most right wing party is on par with the democrats.
