If a person cannot "re-parent" themselves, one could treat oneself as they would a friend or colleague. If you had a friend in your position and they had the impression they were a piece of s**t, you might say to your friend "they are treating you like a POS, you are not one." Can we support ourselves like that? I remember once I was in a really bad place emotionally and a dr pissed me off. I was so angry at him. He looked at me and said --- that's where your anger belongs: here = outward, not inward. But it's hard to modulate outward anger and much easier to quietly turn it inwards... for some of us. Decades later (for me at least), is it finally time to leave that s**t where it belongs - outside. [poop emoticon goes here]
