As someone with natural tendencies to be a bully (I think it's also related to ADHD with the H), I do like that it is being recognized that there is something wrong with most bullies and they aren't just doing it because they are bad or mean people... and do hope in the future that the bullies can get more help for themselves and for the others that they may harm...

Most of the bullies I have ever met, or known of, ARE bad mean people - they are sociopaths/psychopaths - no conscience, no remorse, no empathy, and gain pleasure from hurting others.

I do not believe in free will so I'm not making a moral judgement against bullies. But they are out of control systems that must be brought into control. Its one of the greatest problems people on the autism spectrum face is being bullied.

Hyperactivity is treatable. I've read good things about the drug
guanfacine.

I've programmed computers before and I know there is no magic that gives a program or hardware that runs it real freedom of choice. Theres just no concept of real choice. We are completely dependent on our hardware and past programming. Random variations and unpredictability of the future can give illusion of choice but there is no real choice. I'm a reductionist and I think DNA's mindless goal of self-replication is really what is in charge.

They are just people with mental disorders, much like you. To call them freaks wouldn't be fair at all...
For example, aren't "sociopaths" people with "Antisocial Personality Disorder"?

some bullies might have disorders, but it is hard to think of them as innocents, when they have caused so many suicide attempts and deaths.

Key for you all

1. Ignore Them

If that doesn`t work

1. Sock the sh!t out if them.

2. If you know them help them out.

The bully who repetitively picked on me had no disorder. He was just dyslexic, but that doesn't give you a liscence to bully. I hate him and all other bullies...

DONT TREAD ON ME!! ! I WILL BITE BACK!! !

Also, if they do have disorders, why aren't THEY in the psychiatric hospitals getting pumped with drugs and not us?

You're not going to get much sympathy here. I was bullied from 7th grade through high school.

If you are a bully, you need to stop making excuses for yourself and stop hurting other people. It really doesn't matter why you do it. There is no justification for it and if you do it, you are bad.

Putting a label on something that ties it up in a neat little package doesn't make it excusable. There are reasons that people are the way they are, no matter what the case. I'm a very analytical, detail oriented type of person, so I like seeing things put into categories. However, at the end of a day when all is said and done, someone who has no conscience should be segregated from society. I've read so many stories about kids that brutally tortured, and or murdered another (usually smaller) child, only to be released from juvie when they turn 18. That kind of mental defectiveness is not curable, and should not be unleashed onto society.

Yeah the 4 personality disorders I listed in my first post are fairly treatment resistant.
