Is anyone here by chance a flutist, going to the convention in Chicago? A couple of us are planning an aspie-flutist coffee, so we can get to know each other and maybe feel less lonely and overwhelmed, and have an event where we can all just be ourselves. You can pm me if you are interested, or just look for the signs on the bulletin board at the convention. The signs about the coffee will be on blue paper, and there will be a picture of a flower. Maybe I'll post a picture of the paper here once I make it.

The sign will also be on the table where we're sitting, so if you're anxious about approaching, at least you can know you're in the right place.

It would be great to connect before hand if you feel comfortable, I'll be on wrong planet every day a few minutes to check my messages.

I hope you are able to round up fellow flutists (sp?)

As a music consumer, I appreciate the contributions to rock made by the flute;

The opening of Can't you see - Marshall Tucker
Reasons for waiting - Jethro Tull
The early Moody Blues

I understand that most flutists start or remain oriented to classical music. However, back when rock was innovative there were significant achievements.
