For some odd reason, music boxes scare the crap out of me... It sounds unearthly. And backwards talking, if I'm not manipulating the record... I've experienced a few things in the morning that could be classified as paranormal ^ googol. >.< Hence the reason...

Lawnmowers and loud people.

I love listening to music (Judas Priest forever! \m/  \m/) but I can only listen to it with my mp3 player, it feels weird if it's in a CD player or something like that.

I hate the music they play in shops, it literally makes me cringe, unless I can barely hear it. Mobile phone ringtones make me want to reach for something sharp and pointy... answer it already! :?

Washing machines!! !

When they spin, it drives me nuts. My washing machine isn't on perfectly flat ground either, so it tends to wobble when it spins, so not only have I got the very loud spinning noise to deal with, but also the "bangbangbangbangbang" as it seesaws up and down on the floor.

I also hate forks on plates, dishes clashing, doors being slammed, noises people make when they eat, people other than me typing on keyboards, hoovers, screeching brakes, car/house alarms, the music on Sky Digital when you leave it on TV guide, and loads more that I can't remember.

So, there's this sound I hear,
It acts like a leer,
you hear it too,
I'm sure you do.

When you eat,
you make a noise,
a noise that I avoid.

Chomp, Chew, Chomp, Chew,
I know, I know...
I DO IT TOO!

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

High pitched sounds emitted by electronic equipment.
Air vents.
Bad brakes on buses.
Ticking clocks. They drive me insane. As a kid the clock in the kitchen kept me from sleeping.

buzzing alarm clocks, off key sounds (when i played the piano if i hit the wrong key i would get shivers), car alarms, some music (or the radio after about 20 minutes, i have to turn it down for a few minutes), high pitched squeals (although high pitched rings don't bother me). that's all i can think of now but i'm sure there's more.

I heard one today, and I forgot how annoying they are... windchimes.

Actually, I'll spell it like this:

WINDCHIMES

The high-pitched tinkling noises they make all the time... aaaargh! :x

People talking - as in, when someone is close to me and talking. But only certain people, for some reason; some voices (regardless of the way they speak, or tone or whatever) just hurt my ears.. and when they're talking loudly it's almost akin to them banging pots and pans by my ears.

and also normal stuff like certain electrical frequencies.
And, when people crack/pop their knuckles, back or neck.. gah.

Anything high pitched or sporadic....

For example, I was flying to a small town on one of those tiny little airplanes that seat about 15 people, and all of them make this horrible, HORRIBLE, agonizing squealing noise....and I seemed to be one of the only people that could hear it. One other person made a comment about it being mildly annoying, but I had my hands and jacket clamped over my ears and was biting my knuckles and rocking back and forth to keep from screaming and freaking out, it was so awful. (and then it became emotionally awful too as people started kind of staring at me and then pretending that they hadn't been staring....) And it lasted almost AN HOUR.

Car horns and high pitched sirens and things also hurt.

And it's weird because background noise that's all at the same level and pitch and is constant doesn't bug me too much (at least for a while) but if there's a rise and fall in volume or pitch I can't stand it and have to remove myself immediately.
