I've had this experience. Just like an NT could rub another NT the wrong way, an Autistic--without even trying--can unknowingly rub other Autistics the wrong way...and not have a clue why or how.

Yes -
My attention to detail and my ability to remember microdetails.
I don't do it on purpose.
I'd rather not remember so much useless information.
It makes my brain crazy busy, so it's annoying.
I can't stop it though.

It bothers people because it makes them nervous.
They sometimes think I'm stalking them or I know too much.
They think I'm out to get them if I remember details.

It couldn't be further from the truth.
I don't like lying either, so I can't just say "I don't remember".

Autistics are AT LEAST as irritating to other autistics as NTs are to autistics, and vice versa. If not more so. I think that that is a fair guess.

When im nervous I usually like to joke, it's gotten me in a fair amount of trouble with my autistic friends that take things literally.

I don't really know. Maybe it's my special interests not being the same as theirs.

I only know 2 autistics IRL (at least that I know of). I make heavy use of humor to make life more bearable. One of my autistic friends complains when I use humor, and when I try to remain serious around him, he complains I have no sense of humor. This is a smart guy, and yet he doesn't seem to see his inconsistency.
The other autistic friend frustrates me because he seems to almost be incapable of telling the truth. It's hard to listen to him talk and not contradict him when I know he's lying. Truth is so important to me, I just don't get how someone could habitually lie.

I'm sure, my emotionality. An unwanted trait.

My AS son and I frequently annoy each other. He annoys me with his slowness, monologuing, and messiness. I annoy him with my sensory issues, fastidiousness, and perfectionism.

oh my yes, many others block me and my posts on forums I attend... I find it makes no difference whether others are neurodivergent or not, I can irritate almost anybody without trying.

Paranoid, I have no doubt that my paranoia with no regard for feelings will annoy everyone even the other person who is a bigot.

I'm one of those people who are very verbal and very emotional, so that could probably iritate autistic people who have trouble with that sort of thing. I guess maybe that's a female trait, or maybe it's the blindness. Another thing that might annoy people is that I stim with cups, and I like the sound of tapping them.

I don't suppose that being autistic completely stops a person from being irritated by autistic people. Any disability that has special needs can cause a certain amount of bother to others. It's one of the reasons I try to wing it.

I'm sure I've annoyed other autistics by talking about my special interests when they want me to talk about their special interests.

Aww that's the fun part. I have a friend at church who is neurodiverse, and when we get together we basically word vomit on our special interests. We have an absolute ball together.

I'm not sure that I know any autistics in real life. So I don't know. But I tend to make the few friendships I have with quirky people. One of my friends is undiagnosed but he has mentioned that autism runs in his family and he may be on the spectrum. When we talk on the phone he pretty much monologues and if I try to say something he usually interrupts right away. I think many people would find him irritating, but I don't. I just get him and it doesn't bother me that he is how he is. I do think that autistics are less likely to irritate each other than an autistic person irritating an NT by being autistic around them.
