The people here don’t care about my Autism, they don’t listen to me. The person who in charge, she DON’T CARE that I have Autism, she thinks my meltdowns are behavior problems, she don’t understand the reasons why I’m having them, she wants to change me. I’m afraid of ending up in the hospital. Can someone give me a good website on Autism? Maybe if she look at the website, she will understand it a little bit.

I just did a quick Google search about caring for autistic adults.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for but it seems quite comprehensive.

This topic is very relevant to me as I'm dealing with the same thing.
My mother is in hospital and they keep asking me if she has dementia.

I explained that she's on the spectrum and her sensory overwhelm / panic attacks aren't evidence of dementia.
They keep asking anyway.
I'm scared they're going to think she's a behaviour problem.

Why don’t you get another doctor? Or show the doctor a website on Autism. Why doctors think they are perfect? They can make mistakes, doctors been misdiagnosed people for years.

They probably aren't particularly interested in learning or changing.

If one shows interest in learning be very, very nice to them and try to politely steer them to authoritative resources on the Internet for them to look at.

These might be of interest:
- Academic Autism Spectrum Partnership in Research and Education (AASPIRE)
- AASPIRE Healthcare Toolkit
- "Caring for Patients on the Autism Spectrum: How Autism Can Affect Healthcare"

Good luck!

She's in hospital. You can't pick and choose which doctor you get during an emergency.
