I know Autism people can be picky about food. Can they be picky about what they are touching, like kitchen counters, when you drop something on the floor.

Yes. I won't eat food off the floor (because come on, that's disgusting), sometimes I won't eat it if it's touched the counter depending on how clean the counter is (well really it's how clean the counter looks). And if food is touching other food, I'll still eat it, but only after cutting off the part that touched the other food.

I've eaten food I've dropped on the floor or touched the countertop. It's not that I'm not afraid of germs, it's just that if I avoided germs and lived like the Bubble Boy I'd have no resistance built up. Also I hate to waste food.

Today for supper I had chicken, macaroni and cheese and mixed vegetables. And I (gasp) mixed the veggies into the mac and cheese. I think it would have been better if I ate them separately, though.
