Can anyone recommend books about Asperger's? especially Asperger's in adults? I know I could just do a search, but I'm interested in the opinions of the people here.

I'm more interested in coping strategies than diagnostic criterea.

Two of my favorites are....
1. Pretending To Be Normal by Liane Holliday Willey

2. An Asperger Marriage by Gisela and Christopher Walker

Wrong Planet also has a good book list to explore. It's on the left of the page in the message board menu.

'Songs of the Gorilla Nation' by Dawn Prince-Hughes

Anything by Temple Grandin

Anything by Donna Williams

'Discovering my Autism' by Edgar Schnider and also 'Living the Good Life With Autism'

'Life Among Strangers' by Jasmine Lee O'Neil (I really love this book - Jasmine is a non-verbal Kanner autistic, but I guarentee you will relate to her book - plus it is a great thing to show people who think that non-verbal autistics are not smart)

Stephen Shore has also written some good books and Jen Birch's book is neat, too . . .

Tom I've heard really good things about that book. Is it biographical? I've never been able to find it. :(

Tere, they have a copy of it in 4 bookshops in my hometown of Coventry. I'm, sure you will have no trouble finding it on the net. It's kind of tennage-orientated but has a lot for adults aswell.

I have read "Through the Eyes of Aliens" by Jasmine Lee O'Neill.
It is one of the best I have read.
It is in depth but very easy to read and informative.
She draws some cool pictures too.
Strongly recommended.

I'm currently reading "Asperger Syndrome and Long Term Relationships" by Ashley Stanford.

Don't be put off by the title. It's not completely about relationships.

It explains how AS can present in adults, and the coping mechanisms that many of us use. It is aimed at people with an aspie partner, but I am finding it very interesting.
