From their website:

Quote:
We have never failed to help a client as long as they comply. It will work for you but if you feel it hasn't, it's probably because you are doing something incorrectly. That being the case, contact us as soon as possible and we will make sure you get onto the right track.

Seems like a scam to me, from that paragraph. They've dismissed all the clients it didn't help as "non-compliant" so that they can calculate their success rate as 100%. No legitimate treatment claims to work for 100% of people who try it.

Edited to add:
I shouldn't be so skeptical. This method might help some people, maybe even you. However, I'd try to find some third-party information about its success rates before I risked £129 (especially as I'm American and the exchange rate sucks right now).

I agree.

If the subject is told "stop being afraid of what your phobic of" and they cant then they are not being compliant. That little stipulation absolves the company of the need to actually achieve results. If the subject complies they get the credit for "curing" them if the subject doesn't its "not the companies fault" and they can dismiss any cases pointed out that prove their method doesn't work.

What ever the Lyndon method is it sound like an ego trip, even if it is based on cbt. It is way too expensive for what it is. I would buy a book by well know CBT people like Gillian Butler.

What anxiety problem are you trying to deal with?

Social anxiety, general anxiety?

Type in ‘CBT anxiety book review’ into Google read all the reviews get the book that suits you best. If you don't think you can do it through a book, you could get a CBT therapist to help you.

Haven't tried it, haven't heard too many complimentary things about it.

For me, diet seems to be a big factor - going low carb has shut off the panic and turned down the angst to tolerable levels. Then I gradually start eating more and more carbs, eventually realize that my metabolism is off kilter again.

Don't know if that helps others - I look at anxiety as both a symptom and a dis-ease. On the symptom side of it, many different glitches in the body can set off the alarm bells, and turning off the alarm bells with a tranquilizer can be useful (though it may only mask the symptoms and not treat the underlying causes).

For day to day stuff, yoga, walking, meditation and breath work (pranayama) help me to a degree. I like passionflower and scutellaria teas - natural sources of benzoflavones that hit the GABA receptors in a way somewhat like valium (the teas take longer to kick in, but are generally effective). For break-through panic attacks, I use xanax or klonipin, which are fast-acting.

I'm suspicious of anyone who "guarantees" that their method will work.
