I have this on and off "habit" of putting a rubber band on my wrist. I don't go and purchase them or anything, but if I stumble upon one or one finds its way into my possession; on the wrist, every time.

I feel better when one is there.
When it breaks or I realize it's not there I get a little sad, but then I don't think about it until a rubberband appears in front of me again.

Literally, I won't look in drawers or anything like that. Has to be a random rubber band.

Thoughts?

Anything similar?

when I ride my trike I have to use a rubber band on my right leg, to keep my pant legs from getting caught in the pedal sprocket.

when I was ill and hospitalized last year, my older sister threw out all my rubber bands, that made me really sore. :x

but at least she never found my secret cache of reserve rubber bands just in case something should happen to the others.

They say that having a rubber band on your wrist makes for a good reminder. I've never tried it personally.

No one's mocking you. We're simply joining in on the conversation about rubber bands. 8)

I also love rubber bands as a method of keeping areas behind entertainment centers neater, as well as other areas where a lot of power and A/V cables are involved. I don't like a whole mess of cords because it gets cluttered and you can't tell what belongs to what. Most recently also because of our cat pulling stuff down by the cords.

I used to carry a hair band on my wrist for a while, don't really know why as I virtually never tie my hair back, but I kind of liked having it there, until one day it disappeared. Didn't really think about it much after that. These days I wear a watch 24/7, but mainly because I'm a little obsessed with time, I'm forever losing bracelets though.

I remember when I was a little kid, I found some rubber bands and an unused little empty box, and I improvised a sort of musical instrument that was something like a kalimba made by a drunk. anyways, I went out to the pool and stood at the edge, plunked it and hummed along with it happily. one of the happy little memories from my childhood. :)

We have rubber bands all over my work! Banding the candy by twos. Banding the bags by 25. Bands on the money.... and whenever I need to open a bundle, the band goes straight to my wrist. I've ended up with 7 or 8 on my wrist at the end of a shift. Then I put them back with the new bands, so they can be reused. Everyone else just throws theirs away, and it makes me sad.

I like to play with rubber bands. :D If I have one in my hands, I'll stim with it until it snaps.
