When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I like pressure on my arms and legs...I squeeze and rub my legs a lot and twist my fingers, rub my hands together. I also like stinging sensations sometimes, like the snap of a rubber band. I like to have my head scratched by someone with fingernails...my husband has good fingernails, he needs them to open test tubes at work. I also like my husband to gently rub my back (its the only place I like gentle touches) with his fingernails...it puts me to sleep. I like to hold my husbands hand sometimes, its big and warm and soft. I also like the feel of veins under peoples skin....I used to be a phlebotomist. I remember once when I worked in the hospital, me and some of my coworkers were sitting on the counter top and we were all poking at each others veins and our supervisor came out and joked "You are all sick" LOL!
I love the smell of grass, leather, old books, vanilla, coffee...fresh baked bread....and LILACS, real ones not fake out perfumes!
I also like to rub my hands and fingers over surfaces...the seams of my pants, cold metal, seat cushions, counter tops, my kids hair, my husbands hair (his hair is really soft like baby hair). I recently was on the train and I liked the feel of the walls inside. I also like to rub my face and I like to sneeze :D.

Me too!! Part of it is that I get very cold when I go to bed except in summer, but I like feeling heavier layers over me just because of the weight.

I love to touch an animal's fur; I'll pet any animal that lets me until it's BALD.

I like heavy blankets too. And I have this bristled hairbrush that I like running over my face.

That is very interesting, where did you get the idea for it?

I also want one of those aprons, but I like being cool (but not cold) so I'd probably go for one I could fill with cold water, ever climbed under a waterbed?

It's nice.

I don't hate talking on the phone, but I sure hate it ringing...

Does everyone experience this intense semi-synesthetic rush when they listen to music?

Almost all music does this to me to some extent, but certain songs are so intense I just sit and listen to them over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over... I've been going back and restarting the first part of the song to try to accurately describe what it feels like through just the first minute.

I get that as well. I listen to things over and over.

I did, too. My parents have a phone in their bedroom that is set to minimum volume, but I can hear it from my bedroom. So that's how I know when someone calls. Even though it's very quiet, it still manages to wake me up...

"le petit mort" would have to be my absolutely favorite sensation, all others pale in comparison.
