Im prone to get addicted to a certain ritual.

Im not reffering to increasing knowledge in a certain area BTW

I mean a hobby, a video game, a food, a sport etc.

Yup. Usually sources of culture, like a TV show, radio station, author, etc.

On wikipedia learning about some country, state, city or whatever. Lately, I've been spending too much time on this site. It probably affected my grades this past semester.

I have found all versions of Sid Meier's Civilization very addictive.

Yes. I even go without food and sleep when wrapped up in such addictions. Age of Empires, KOL and (I cringe to admit it) Runescape have all 'enslaved and had their way with me' in the past. As have various internet forums, hand-held console games ('gotta catch 'em all') songs, media....the list could go on, but it wont.

For me, it's not addicted. More like very, very focused.
It happens quite a lot. Especially with video games, programming, and art. Even when not at the computer, I still think about whatever I'm currently obsessed with. New ideas strike like lightning, and if I can't write them down/ type them out right now, I get really irritated.

Yes, especially songs.

Two-three years ago, I got addicted to an Animaniacs song called Wakko's America, and I played it everyday, on repeat for about a year. No exaggeration. I was completely addicted. If it wasn't for the fact that I listened to it with headphones, I would have driven everyone mad. I eventually got bored of it, and the song is barely even catchy to me now, but I do miss it. I was never bored while addicted to it, but now, I seem to be bored all the time...
