I like hugs when the person I'm hugging and I know eachother and want to hug them. I'll hug others, even if I wasn't expecting it and don't hate it. I like really strong hugs, but only a couple of people I've hugged in my lifetime have been strong-huggers. My boyfriend doesn't hug me super tight or anything, but he does randomly squish me. Which I enjoy. =D

Well, if some types of Aspie weren't apt to have this proclivity, furries probably wouldn't exist. They're both socially awkward and highly social. It's a strange combination, but, if birds of a feather find one another, sparks do fly.

You can hug me! :D

It seems like most people with AS don't like physical affection. But like you, I'm an exception to the rule.

Yes!! !

I LOVE hugs. I can't go for any amount of time without wanting them.

With me they must be immobilizingly tight. Rib breakers permitted, but no breaking ribs.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Another thing that is pretty much me. I just don't get kissing... is there even a point?

Me either, what is the big deal about lips touching? Why is it not noses, or chins, or foreheads? Even if it were noses, foreheads or whatever, there would still be no point. It's about how you treat a person that says the most IMHO.

I actually like to be the recipient of petting, but, when most people see it, they think that the person administering it is actually trying to beat the tar out of me. I give my dogs and cats the same treatment, and they eat it up.

The only time a hug gets creepy is when the person tries to not only pat your back but massage you at the same time. Not that I would mind if I had actually asked them for a massage or something, but that's just weird. O_o

I'll shake a person's hand at most, and even that is a bit too much...

I'd rather people didn't touch me and I didn't need to touch people.

Same, although when in the right mood I can enjoy a hug from a FEW select people.

I guess it's because lips are specially sensitive parts of the human body, unlike noses or foreheads, so people are supposed to feel pleasure when touching lips with another person they want to touch lips with. I know I'd enjoy kissing somebody I love, like a boyfriend or something, but I'm not so sure about sharing saliva, but I'll have to wait and see.

In my house, my parents did touch foreheads with us to show us affection when we were babies "tope tope tope topeeeee...".

I like hugs in theory, but when I'm given a hug, I stiffen and stand still, because I don't know what to do. The very few times I've given a hug (because they say "hug your sister..." or "hug me..."), people have told me I don't know how to hug. I enjoy rib-breaker hugs too, but only from my very close family and sometimes from my male friends, and I guess when I have a boyfriend, I'll enjoy being hugged by him, too. I just hope he likes a ragdoll, because that's basically what I am when it comes to showing or receiving affection.

Don't get them much, but I enjoy it with my girlfriend. It's like gaining back lost time.

My low/medium functioning autistic son loves hugs, craves them, constantly asks for them; he loves to be squeezed tight.

He also uses them as a way to wiggle out of trouble. An actual conversation between my son and his mom from a few days ago:

Son's mom: [wanting her purse, which contains a rice crispy snack] "Wolf, can you bring me my purse?"

[Wolf goes and get's purse, and comes back looking very guilty.]

Son's mom: [searching through purse] "Where's my rice crispy treat!"

Wolf: [having nicked the treat and now being caught, arms out] "Hugs!"

As for myself, I'm one of those, "Don't f*****g touch me!" kind of people, with very few exceptions made for specific individual people (my son being on the short list).

Good fortune,

- Icarus is a porcupine...
