It is reported that this up-and-coming Word-Faith prosperity teacher has recently been admitted to a hospital for back surgery. There go all his claims of being able to "name it and claim it"! And it doesn't stop there, according to G. Richard Fisher of Personal Freedom Outreach:

We owe everything (all spiritual and physical blessings) to the atonement of Jesus but we do not receive all of those blessings right now. Scripture makes that abundantly clear. Parsley has evidence in his own home that his teaching on healing is off-base — his son Austin has been diagnosed “with Asperger's syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism.” God has provided evidence of Parsley’s own errors but for whatever reason he refuses to see it. It is sad that Parsley can so compartmentalize that he lays teaching on his followers but has a different reality at home. Parsley shared in a sermon televised last June 4 that his son was diagnosed at the Cleveland Clinic and reports while he is making improvement, “we're not all the way out of the woods but we're on our way.”

Parsley has since claimed that his son, Austin, has been completely healed of Asperger's syndrome. However, since his son is never brought on his father's TV program, it is still to be confirmed that Austin has had any "healing" at all apart from traditional treatments and programs since the diagnosis at Cleveland Clinic. The question remains ... why would Parsley need medical practitioners to diagnose his son when God is supposed to heal him immediately when Parsley commands Him to?

Yeah, i had many a person pray for me and try to 'heal' my aspie condition. For a long while, it was 'maybe its demonic oppression' and we just werent praying enough. I went through Mother issue healings and father issue healings. Hell, at one time my mom wondered if i was sexually abused and had suppressed it somehow. Funny, i dont recall anything like that because it probably didnt happen. Some tests that check for abuse have symptoms that overlap many aspie symptoms. They can pray for the wrong thing to happen to an aspie child. If this child isnt sick in the eyes of God, then why on earth would God 'heal' this kid? Would you heal someone who, in many instances cant help but be honest? It is even said in some sects of Jewish mysticism that Autistics are Special vessels of God.
Dont get me wrong, the bad sides are there too. Many problems come with the 'disease'.

I am not saying that all aspies are gifted, but they are just wired differently for a reason. Its sad that Rob Parsley doesnt take a deeper look into this child before he jumps to conclusions. Heaven forbid god's people try to love this kid for who he is and try to understand him before they ask God to fix him.

"why would Parsley need medical practitioners to diagnose his son when God is supposed to heal him immediately when Parsley commands Him to?"

Because homeopathy, faith healing, scientology, etc. DON"T WORK. I know a guy who's trying to cure his son of some condition using homeopathy. The so called E-meter or whatever it is that's supposed to tell him what's wrong and what to do to fix it keeps coming back with more problems, and the condition persists. We tell him, "Don't fire your MD!" These people are taking money from him and all give him the same story. I hope the FDA goes after this E-meter thing. Quackery can cause real harm because it takes funding away that can be used on real medical treatment, and also through inaction when people rely on it instead of standard medical care.

I put "asperger pentecostal charismatic" into google and it came up. As to why i searched those words, I wanted to know if there were any genuine aspie believers in this church who werent just trying to get healed.
