To tell you the truth - I'm not much an insect fan! But if I were asked to choose between Sitophilus zeamais and Araerus fasciculatus, the former is the lesser of two weevils! 8O

The Sitophilus zeamais crawl around on my floor and freak me out:

Here is a picture of the Araerus fasciculatus (Coffee Bean Weevil): Image

Neither am I. But I don't hate insects. What I hate is spiders! :shameonyou: (Yes, that's to the spiders, even though I know they can't understand me.)

Welcome Jake! I read your story, "United Airlines DC-6, the year: 1958," and I was very impressed. I loved the way you narrated it. It was very heart warming! Yes, the Praying Mantis is very cool, a very interesting insect indeed.

I like all forms of wildlife, including insects. On a recent trip to Costa Rica, I was able to see blue morpho butterflies, rhinoceros beetles, hercules beetles, army ants, and leaf-cutter ants. Rhinoceros beetles are so strong that it is impossible to pull them off of whatever they are holding on to while resting. Very cool, especially when you get to try it yourself.

I am currently doing research on the regal fritillary butterfly. I like spiders (even though they aren't insects) and have a pet tarantula. And yes, praying mantids are way cool! :D

I spent the latter part of yesterday dancing to my ten guitars. It was so grand!

I am told that I look like an Emu! Is there any medication I might take to stop this?

I like insects, they're very beautiful almost like the work of a fine craftsman with their interlocking exoskeletons and delicate limbs. However my parents scared me frequently about insects as a child, and reinforced that belief like many people do, so I've never quite been able to shake a general discomfort around them.
